Robert Jaye "R.J." Wolfe

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle, Robertt Jaye "R.J." Wolfe, 57, passed away April 1, 2011 at his home in Manti. R.J. was born April 8, 1953 in Burlington, Colorado to Wilbur & Doris Wolfe. He married Kathy Pullara, and later divorced. R.J. then married Polly Ann Petersen on April 22, 1983.

R.J. attended school in Fountain Valley, CO graduating from Fountain-Fort Carson High School. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from UCS in Pueblo, CO, Avionics degree from ITT Tech and CDL License. He was a member of the Jaycee’s in Colorado Springs, CO.

R.J. had a passion for many different things. His hobbies, interests and talents include; Ham Radio "W7RKB", fishing, 4-wheel riding, gun collector and enthusiast, gardening, cooking, mechanics, farming and spending the summer months in the mountains camping with family. Treasured memories for his nieces and nephews will be of all the treats and night games Uncle R.J. provided for them.

R.J.’s greatest joy came from taking complete care of his wife and best friend, Polly. He was her personal cook, housekeeper, grocery shopper and handyman. His morning toast and coffee will be greatly missed.

R.J. spoke with genuine pride at his children’s accomplishments. Robertt, Kim and Bryan were his greatest highlights in his life.

R.J. is survived by his wife, Polly; children, Robertt (Laura), Fountain, CO, Kimberly (Travis), Colorado Springs, CO; and Bryan, Manti. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Sara, Brian, Bradynn, Jewelianna, and Tristyn; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Petersen, Manti; brother-in-law, Joe Petersen, Manti; sister-in-law, Melody (Richard) Ivory, Manti; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Doris Wolfe, and father-in-law, Niels B. Petersen.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the Manti City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call prior to service at the Magleby Mortuary, 195 West 100 North, from 11:00-12:30. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
