Robert Charles Ney, 74, of Elsinore passed away on November 20, 2023 of natural causes in Provo. He was born on May 29,1949 in Spanish Fork to Charles and Billie Ney. He married Rebecca Hebner in Springville on November 1, 1975. They raised 3 daughters. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2019.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army. He completed multiple tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the military he served in the Utah National Guard. He worked as a civilian contractor at HAFB until he was able to retire. He was passionate about the veterans, and recently concluded a fundraising campaign to raise money to build a monument for the veterans in Elsinore. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Robert enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and target shooting. Over the last 10 years he found a passion for riding the trails in his side by side and on his 4 wheeler. Robert was a very kind, giving man, and would give the shirt off his back if needed.
He is survived by his daughters: Michell (Sloan) Naisbitt, Hooper; Tracy Ney, Elsinore; and Wendy Bambrough, Roy; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ed Ney and Joe Ney; sister, Shirley Bleake.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca; parents; brother, Howard; and sister, Carol Lynn.
