Robert Larsen Gull, 81, passed away May 27, 2015 in Richfield with his family by his side. He was born June 12, 1933 in Salt Lake City to Arma J. and Wanda Grace Larsen Gull. He married Ruth Chaston on March 8, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy. He was a general contractor and building inspector in the Salt Lake area.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Robert served in many callings, including three bishoprics. With his wife, he served missions to Hawaii and Martin’s Cove. He enjoyed his service as an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple for many years.
He was the "Best of the Best" and was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of Monroe; children: Lisa (Michael) Luke, Herriman; Alan (Cindy) Gull, Ft. Worth, TX; daughter-in-law, Loretta Gull, Salt Lake City; foster daughter, Cecelia (Jack) Anderson, Lupton, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ralph (Jeanette) Gull, Anaheim, CA; Elaine (Harold) Eyre, Monroe; Don (Dana) Gull, Salt Lake City; Lawrence (Lynda) Gull, Syracuse; LuAnn (Dennis) Hansen, Highlands Ranch, CO.
Preceded in death by parents; step-father, Earl Morris; son, Jeffrey Gull; sister, Barbara (Paul) Christiansen.
The family would like to thank the Richfield Care Center for the loving care they provided to Robert.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bell Canyon Ward, 9880 S. 3100 E., Sandy. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield; on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy, or Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bell Canyon Ward. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. 7800 S., in Cottonwood Heights, with military honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
