Robert Edward Cole
March 20, 1947 — February 12, 2014
Our loving husband and father, Robert Edward Cole, 66, passed away February 12, 2014 at his home in Monroe with his family by his side. He was born March 20, 1947 in San Diego, CA to Arza Austin and Ethel Elizabeth Winters Cole. He married the love of his life, Marjorie Ann Hall, October 15, 1969 in San Diego.
Robert served in the Air Force for six years as a mechanic. He worked for the postal service, also as a mechanic, for 30 years. He loved to be outside working in the garden, in the mountains or riding his 4-wheeler.
His family remember him as the best dad in the world and the world’s greatest papa. They will always remember his famous saying, "God is in control, always."
Survived by his wife, Marjorie, of Monroe; children: Christina Cole, Cyrstal Myers and Johnathan Cole; grandchildren: Tyan, Joshua, Tori, Amber, Destiny, Jessica, Tommy Jr.; siblings: William Cole, Leeland Cole, and Ardel Dawson.
Preceded in death by his parents, Arza and Ethel Cole; son, David Cole.
Cremation services have been held. Interment will take place on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif. Military Rites will be provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
