Robert C. Christensen
Manti, UT
On April 25th 2018, grandpa Bob’s work was completed. He passed away peacefully at home, in Manti Utah, surrounded by his family. Grandpa was born on September 8th 1933 to Blanche and Clement Christensen in Centerfield Utah.
Grandpa Bob was a man of few words. Few, but powerful. He enjoyed many wonderful years fishing, tying flies, camping, and making anything and everything. If you could think it up, grandpa could make it. But the thing grandpa loved most of all, was his family and devoted wife, Edith. Grandma and grandpa met in Manti on a blind date. They were married in the Manti temple on June 8th 1956. And from this union came Robin (George), Carolyn, and Walter, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Grandpa was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. His favorite calling was being able to work in the temple with grandma for 14 years. This was a great blessing to the family and everyone around them.
Grandpa is preceded in death by Walter (son), Alex (grandson), his parents, and siblings Virginia and Darlene.
We invite you to attend a celebration of life for a giant among men, a pillar of the community, and the cornerstone of our family. Funeral services will be held in Manti Utah on April 30th 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the church on 295 south Main street. The viewing will be from 11:30-12:30 with burial in the Manti City Cemetery.
