Robert Ray Broyles, 83, of Annabella, passed away May 12, 2016 in Richfield. He was born January 23, 1933 in Corona, CA to Ray and Hulda Lou Massey Broyles. He married Betty Jean Clark, September 23, 1955 in Riverside, California. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple, September 23, 2005, their 50 th anniversary. She preceded in death, June 23, 2013.
As a young man Bob proudly served for three years in the United States Coast Guard. He then went on to work for Southern California Gas Company until his retirement.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was a long standing member of the Broken Arrow Archery Club of Corona. After falling in love with surrounding Utah country Bob and Betty moved to the Town of Annabella so that he could dedicate more time to his passions.
He is survived by a son, Lloyd (Susan) Broyles; son-in-law James Trafton; granddaughter, Jennifer (Nathan) Holm; great-grandsons, Ian, Kai and Gavin Holm. Preceded in death by daughter, Lynnelle Trafton.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call Tuesday morning one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
