Robert C. Behunin passed away on November 26, 2014 at home in Porterville, at the age of 85. He was born on October 15, 1929 in Gunnison, Utah to Bert and Anna Christine "Goldie" Sorenson Behunin, the youngest child of a large family. As a young boy he moved to Eagle Rock, California and, at the age of 15, the family moved to Porterville where he graduated from Porterville High School and attended Porterville College. As a young man he was a custom cabinetmaker but always had a desire to farm. He began his citrus business in 1962 and was a citrus rancher for the remainder of his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Nuckols, Porterville, CA; sons: Steve (Jennifer) Behunin, Oxnard, CA; David (Anne Marie) Behunin, Couer d’ Alene, ID; Jeffrey Behunin, and Jason Behunin, both of Porterville, CA; grandchildren: Josh (Jennifer) Nuckols, Bakersfield, CA; Shane Nuckols, Porterville, CA; Alex and Andrew Behunin, Oxnard, CA; Blake Behunin, Northridge, CA; Sarah (Justin) Fosse and Sean Behunin, both of Missoula, MT; John Behunin, Visalia, CA; Shelley (Dakota) Glor, Ozark, MI; Kaylin Behunin, Missoula, MT; and Cynthia Behunin, Denham Springs, LA. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Sophie, Jacob, and Maddisyn Nuckols and Mason Glor; brother, Gerald Behunin, Burbank, CA; ex-wife, Nancy Behunin, Couer d’ Alene, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Dan Nuckols; brothers: Eldon Jensen, Donald Jensen, and Winton Jensen; and a sister, Gladys Seaich.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Magleby Mortuary in Manti where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery.
