Lee Jensen
Monroe, Utah
This is the story of Richard "Lee" Jensen aka Dad/G-pa. He was an amazing and generous man who was loved and cherished by those who knew him. He passed away September 28, 2019 in St. George. He will be missed deeply.
Lee’s story begins on April 23, 1952 in Salina, Utah. He was born to Richard and Loretta Jensen and graduated Richfield High School in 1970. He was the third of seven children. Lee had a life long love of horse racing and he began this endeavor as a jockey. This gave him the opportunity to travel across the country, live in new places and meet new people. That experience gave him a lifetime of stories to tell. In 1970 Lee married Darlene Heaps but later was divorced in 1987 and moved back to his roots in Monroe, Utah. He lived there for 32 years. Lee had two children. He was an outspoken advocate for ADA and spent several years doing volunteer work.
Lee was a fighter and teaser right up until the very end. He had struggles that most can’t even comprehend yet was an inspiration to so many. Lee always loved with his whole heart unconditionally.
