Richard Anderson
Monroe, Utah
Our loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Richard Kyhl Anderson, 66, left us unexpectedly December 19, 2013 in Richfield. Richard was born April 9, 1947 in Richfield to loving parents, Kyhl and Corene Christensen Anderson. He married his forever sweetheart, Kathy Meacham, June 4, 1971, in Monroe, and if you ask him, this was the best thing that ever happened to him.
Richard served as a medic in the military army and was proud to be a veteran. He worked for UDOT for 35 years and loved his job and friends he made while working there.
Richard and Kathy made their home in Monroe where they raised their three boys: Kevin, Jason, and Ryan, who are his pride and joy. Richard was a big tease and with his quiet humor could make anyone smile. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always bragging about them to whomever would listen.
Richard was a great friend who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed spending time with the coffee shop bunch, the Hansen crew and all his other great friends he made over the years.
Richard will be greatly missed but we feel so blessed to have had such an amazing man in our lives. He has left us with many great memories and stories that will live on forever.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy of Monroe; sons: Kevin (Sheila) Anderson, Central Valley; Jason Anderson, and Ryan (Makenzie) Anderson, both of Monroe; 10 grandchildren with another on the way; siblings: Louise (Kenneth) Ogden, West Jordan; Russell (Beverly) Anderson, Richfield; Michael (Calene) Anderson, Annabella; Bradley Anderson, Salt Lake City; Jeff (Julie) Anderson, Richfield.
Preceded in death by father, Kyhl Anderson; sister, Jeannene Reese.
