Rhonda Ackerman Kennedy, 63, passed away March 17, 2016, in Provo, Utah. Rhonda was born to Marion and Irene Barnson Ackerman on August 1, 1952, in Richfield, Utah. She lived her entire life in Marysvale, Utah, the only place she ever wanted to call home. She grew up under the loving protection of her three brothers. She married Kenneth W. Kennedy, the love of her life, on September 1, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV
Rhonda’s greatest love was her family. She enjoyed spoiling her kids and grandkids; spending time with friends and family; going to horse races; and working in her yard.
Rhonda is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, Kenny; daughter, Penny (Kirk) Bassett; son, Travis (Ann) Kennedy; daughter, Jenna (Michael) Gayler; grandchildren: Cody (Shannah), Jeff, Jaden, Tyler, Tanner, Nikole, McKray, Danielle, Brinlyn, Kamren, Joslyn, Bodie, Rylan, and Paisyn; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald and Shana, Dahlin and Utahna, and Brad; along with many other family members and dear friends.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, baby sister DeAnn, and in-laws, Walter and Wilma Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2016, at 12:00 Noon in the Marysvale Ward Chapel in Marysvale. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary and Monday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the ward chapel in Marysvale. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
