Reta B Jensen

Richfield, Utah

Reta Brough Jensen, 86, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 2, 2017 in Richfield. She was born October 1, 1930 in Randolph, Utah to Arthur Benjamin and Flora Erma Barlow Brough.

She married Richard Garth Ogden, September 11, 1951 in the Manti Utah Temple. She then moved to Richfield where she resided the remainder of her life. They were blessed with three children: Susan Kae, Fran Louise and Chad Richard. He preceded her in death, December 8, 1966.

She married Gene Jensen, August 5, 1969 in Las Vegas, NV. She and Gene were blessed with Gregory Jay. He preceded her in death, January 24, 2003.

Reta’s family meant the world too her. Each of her 26 grand children and 45 great-grandchildren all knew and loved their sweet "Grandma J".

She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served faithfully in many callings. She enjoyed working in the Manti Temple and at the Family History Center.

Reta was a quiet peaceful person and a good listener if you needed to sit and talk for awhile. Grandma J was always there for you.

As she nurtured her family, she nurtured her flowers. In her front yard is a rose bush that she received a start the year of her first marriage. She looked forward to it blooming each spring. She also enjoyed her peonies and other flowers in her garden as well.

She is survived by her children: Susan Kae (Kent) Mellor, Milford; Fran Louise (Clayton) Dalton, Richfield; Chad Richard (Tonya) Ogden, Ely, NV; Greg (Michelle) Jensen, West Valley City; step-children: Sherrie (Kevin) Nostrom, Geri (Lynn) Hansen, Terry Jensen; siblings: Marie Dumbeter, George (Marty) Brough, Dan (Janette) Brough.
