Reene Therese Rudie

Reene Therese Berger Rudie, 78, passed away April 6, 2011 at her home in Richfield. She was born April 15, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Gilbert Alois and Marian Therese Frame Berger. She married Robert Charles Rudie, April 18, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wilsconsin.

Renne enjoyed many hobbies and crafts including knitting infant caps for the newborns at Sevier Valley Medical Center. Over the years she donated hundreds of tiny handmade caps to this cause. She was also very active at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church community including assisting in the management of the office, the bi-annual yard sales and fund-raising events. She was also the church organist for over ten years. She enjoyed rose gardening, camping and playing card games. Retiring here in September of 1994, Renne was well loved by all in the Richfield community.

She is survived by her husband of Richfield; children, Mary Space & Tom Vegter, Menifee, CA; Mark & Sue Rudie, Aurora; Matthew Rudie, San Francisco, CA; and Eric & Lisa Rudie, Albuquerque, NM; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Don & Willow Berger, and Sue & Don Osowski, both of Wisconsin.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in St .Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 810 North Highway 118, Central Valley, Utah. Rosary services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, 50 S 100 W, Richfield. Burial will be in the Riverside National Cemetery in California. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
