Ramon N. Christensen, 74, passed away October 7, 2015 at his home in Elsinore. He was born July 18, 1941 in Elsinore to Ray C. and Zenna Christensen. He married Lynn Phyllis Branch on November 5, 1960 in Richfield.
He loved his family and enjoyed being with them. He believed that grandkids were his reward for having children—he would do anything for them. He took great pride in farming with his father and raising Charolais cattle.
Ramon drove school bus for Sevier School District for many years and loved to pass out all-day-suckers every Friday to the kids and dollar bills for birthdays. As his health permitted, he supported South Sevier Rams in any way he could. He was known for wearing his South Sevier ball cap.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn of Elsinore; children: Spencer Ray (Dannet) Christensen and Jessie Lynn (Rodney) Anderson, both of Elsinore; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: Steven M. (Madelyn) Christensen, Richfield; Lee R. (Janilee) Christensen, West Jordan; Stan B. (Cathy) Christensen, Fairview; Louise (Jay) Robinson, Central Valley.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Hunter.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elsinore LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. or on Monday at the ward chapel in Elsinore from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
