Ralph A. Hungrige Jr.
Born in New Jersey, December 16, 1947 to Ralph Hungrige Sr. and Helen Tedeschi.
Ralph was a vibrant man with an unprecedented love for the outdoors. Some of his favorite places on this Earth were Rockport reservoir, where he taught his children to fish and caught his coveted 9 lb. brown trout, Coyote rock (salt flats), where he called in scores of coyotes and Lone rock, where he taught his children to target shoot and thought about the beauty of the outdoors. However, there are only photos of his prize fish and only video of the waves of coyotes because he loved the beauty of life and was not interested in pelts or mountings.
He was also a professional machinist. Best known for his work in fine-tuning aircraft components and an avid gunsmith and a personal aircraft pilot in his youth.
He is survived by his children: Tiffany Hattenburg, Jeri Williams, Crystal Hyland, Stacy Amos, Tracy Amos, Michael Hungrige and Jim Hegleman. His son Joshua Troy Amos was already waiting to lead him home.
After a heroic battle with dementia, he passed comfortably in his bed on Oct 19, 2017 at the age of 69. He was surrounded by loved ones including his children and many grandchildren his beloved grandchild and best friend through all stages of his illness; Autumn Hungrige.
We love you dad. Save us a place on your fishing boat in paradise.
At Ralph’s request, cremation services have taken place. No formal services are planned at this time.
