Phyllis Morrison McArthur passed away at her home in Gunnison on August 3, 2019 at the age of 79. Phyllis and her beloved twin brother Phil were born in Richfield, Utah to Elliod and Elsie Burr Morrison on February 11, 1940. Being born into a large family has brought many blessings, most important to her were her brothers and sisters. Mom met the love of her life on a blind date to her junior prom. That night Dad wore a white sports coat and a pink carnation just like the song. From then on they danced every chance they got. They were married on February 28, 1957 in Richfield their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

Mom worked from an early age and never slowed down until her health declined. She loved people and while working with the public she made many life long friends. Mom worked as a cosmetologist for many years while Dad worked his way through school. Later Mom worked in the schools helping in the reading programs, and managed Jensen Floral in Gunnison for many years. Mom was lucky to be able to work at jobs she loved. Some of her favorite things were shopping especially from QVC, listening to music, and singing, reading, fresh flowers and babies especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Mom was a gifted seamstress and fantastic cook these gifts she passed on to her children.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband Keith Lynn McArthur; daughter, Natalie Hope McArthur Goodwin; brothers: Denzel, Keith, Scott and Kent; sisters: Donna, Shirley, Hope, Venice; and a great-granddaughter, Tenley; brother-in-law, Ben Stott; sister-in-law, Marcia Stewart.

She is survived by her children: Debra (Almon) Fullmer, Gunnison; Monica (Rohn) Jensen, Centerfield; Sheila (Paco) Carpintero, Fredonia, AZ; Christopher (Julie) McArthur, St George; 16 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Lane (Lana) Goodwin; brothers; Gayle Morrison, Don (Sherry) Morrison, Phil Morrison, Lynn (Ruby) Morrison; sisters: Joyce Andreason and Maurine Rowley; sister-in-law, Laurel Stott; and brother-in-law, Guy Stewart.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Centerfield LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Scipio City Cemetery following the services. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina, Manti.
