Phillip Miller III

Phillip Walker Miller III, age 69, passed away in his sleep at home in Arlington, Virginia, August 26, 2012. He was born July 25, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas to Phillip Walker Miller II and Nellie Mary Inkelaar and was the second of seven children. He married Qudsia Sulaimani November 23, 1975 in Arlington, Virginia.
Phillip served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years and fought bravely for his country during the Vietnam War. He had a love for the great outdoors, frequently taking vacations to Utah where he hunted, fished, and visited with family.
At his time of death, Phillip was employed by the U.S. Postal Service at the Main Station in Arlington, where he was highly respected by co-workers and friends. He served as a mail carrier during most of his 40+ year career.
Phillip is survived by wife, Qudsia; daughters: Natasha Miller, Tanya Miller (fiance Igor Zumrov), Leila (husband Fritz) Behrens, Lailuma Miller (fiance Jimmy Aliff); siblings: Nell, Linda, Steve, Sheila, Vince, and Christina.
Phillip was preceded in death by parents Nellie and Phillip Miller.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sterling LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery with military rites. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
