Philip Charles Davis, 79, of Salina, passed away October 5, 2017 in Centerfield after struggling for years with Alzheimers Disease and congestive heart failure. He was born August 3, 1938 in Salem, Utah to Ted and Eva Epperson Davis. He married Marilou Smith May 9, 1969 in Elko, Nevada.
Phil came from a large extended family who loved and supported each other in all they each did throughout their lives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was a welder on submarines and was stationed in San Diego. He worked as a lab tech for UDOT for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother Randy and brother-in-law, Kirk. Any trips to Lake Powell with his family were greatly anticipated and were highlights of the year.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Marilou of Salina; daughters: Vickie (Shane) Moore, Sparks, NV; Julie (Adam) Ronan, Centerfield; grandchildren: Austin, Makaela, Travis, Kylee; great-granddaughter: Charlotte; siblings: David (Linda) Jackman, Jane (Glen) Hatch, Diana Jackman, Kathy (John) Jensen, Randy (Gloria) Jackman. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kaij; siblings: Bonnie, Betty, Gay.
