Peggy Willardson, 62, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Texas. She was born October 7, 1951 in Salt Lake City to Hal and Renee Hansen Willardson.
Peggy was strong in her faith and a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Blind from birth, she grew up to become a successful independent individual who had a thriving career with Southwestern Bell. Peggy graduated from Brigham Young University and retired after 31 years with AT&T. She had a group of friends that spread across the entire country and she was very active in the Seeing Eye Dog program. Peggy loved music and had an impressive collection of 45's. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by brother, Barry (Lila) Willardson; sister, Debbie (Walter) Landry, nine nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews; her faithful and trusted seeing-eye dog companions, "Nelson"; and a host of other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cynthia Willardson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 15 12:00 Noon in Pearland, Texas. Graveside services and interment will be Monday, March 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Information courtesy of Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salinas and Manti.
