In her senior year of high school, Peggy won the "Betty Crocker" award for her essay about stay-at-home moms. After graduating from highschool in Escalante, she attended BYU, earning a Bachelors of Science degree.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Peggy served in many callings. She served as president of the Young Women’s and Primary. She was also visiting teacher and an ordinance work in the Jordan River Temple.
