Sweet Mother and Grandmother passed from this life to the next on April 3, 2025. She was born December 21, 1939 to Sylva Hope Anderson and Wesley Gordon Charlesworth in Richfield, Utah.
She will be reunited with her Mother, Father, her best friend and daughter Rachelle, and her precious eternal companion Leonard Burton.
She loved being a school teacher. She taught Kindergarten for 20 years, and second/third grade for 20 years in the Murray School District. When she began teaching the children of kids she had taught, then she knew she had been teaching for a long time. She loved learning. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University and Utah State, and a Master’s degree from Northern Arizona University.
After retirement Peggy and Leonard moved to St. George where they enjoyed many friends and fun adventures. They also loved to travel, their most memorable trips were to Israel, Greece, Russia, and all over the United States.
She is survived by her son Greg (Katy), their children Tanner (Mandy), Tucker, Talon, Madelyn, and Tate. Great grandchildren Lily, Ellie, Mia, J.T., Piper and Reese. Leonard’s children Brad (Sandee), (Helen), Lebron (Jinger), Blake (Christie), Gail. Twin sister Patsy (Bob), and brothers Kent (Shirley), Larry (Pat), Chad (Carolyn), Wayne (Karen), Warren(Sharon) and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Richfield Cemetery. There will be a viewing at Magleby Mortuary in Richfield prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
