Paula Lee Madsen Van Zile, 70 of Marysvale, Utah, passed away December 9, 2014, in Panguitch, Utah. She was born August 14, 1944, in Richfield, Utah, to Charles and Maydene Price Madsen. She married David Van Zile, July 16, 1971, in Elko, Nevada.

Paula was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in various callings. She found joy in teaching primary. She loved spending time with her husband gold mining in Arizona and Idaho and taking rides through Cedar Breaks and Panguitch Lake. Paula loved spending time with her family and being involved in their activities. Her favorite time of year was the holiday season, especially Christmas. She was always concerned about others and took time to find ways to comfort and lift their spirts.

She is survived by her husband, David of Marysvale; children, Clint (Wendy) Van Zile, Boise, ID; Shannon (Aaron) Newman, Riverton; Amberlee (Shane) Varney, West Jordan; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters and brother: Anna Hallett, Callien Grange, Elsa Carlson, Voyne (Valerie) Madsen

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m .in the Marysvale LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel in Marysvale on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Junction Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
