Patty Ann Owens Morgan, 62 of Panguitch, passed away July 31, 2018 after many years of fighting a courageous battle with Cerebellar Ataxia. She was born September 17, 1955 in Panguitch to Boyd S and Renee Porter Owens. She married Dempsey Morgan, August 11, 1979 in Las Vegas, NV.

She was raised in both Escalante and Phoenix. She graduated from Camelback High School in Phoenix. After she and Dempsey were married, the family moved to Panguitch where their six children were raised.

Patty worked at area convenience stores and had a great love for her customers. She had a genuine way of letting everyone she came into contact with feel they were special. When her health deteriorated, it was very difficult for her to quit her job and not have regular contact with her customers.

Her family will remember her most for her smile, her love of Mexican food, her chili rellenos and salsa, her garden and making sure that no one left her house hungry. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and a good gossip magazine. The family learned early on that mom had her own "strategy" when it came to rummy, she showed no mercy, no matter the age. But what she loved most was when her kids were all under the same roof.

A special thank you to our amazing dad who faithfully took care of Mom and did everything that he could to make her smile, even on the hardest days.

She is survived by her husband, Dempsey of Panguitch; children: Brandi (Randy) Dickinson, Panguitch; Michelle (Cade) Crofts, Panguitch; Matthew (Corynn) Morgan, Star, ID; Julianne (Mark) Pillow, Draper; Charles Morgan, Panguitch; Savannah (Nephi) Carlisle, Hyrum; 17 grandchildren; mother, Renee of Panguitch; siblings: Karen (Kenny) Hoppes, Hurricane; Tonya (Rex) Johnson, Washington City; Brian Owens, Panguitch; Steve (Lela) King, Richfield.  She was preceded in death by her father, Boyd; sisters Suzanne (Chris) Schow and Marilyn (Bob) Law.
