Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Patricia Herring Crane, 86, passed away September 20, 2021, in Centerfield, UT surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Richfield to Elmo Ransom and Margaret Ogden Herring on September 8, 1935. She adored her parents and treasured her childhood with them on Kimberly Mountain.

Patricia is a 1952 graduate of Richfield High School. She married Wayland Crane on June 2, 1952, just before he was sent to Korea for a two year tour in the Korean Conflict. Through that early trial, she gained a loyal perseverance that made her the rock of the family. A piece of many hearts accompanied her as she rejoined loved ones who had paved the way for her.
Patricia and Wayland raised three children: Craig, Laurie, and Kimberly. She took great pride in her family and if she was not physically supporting a grandchild at one type of event or another, she was probably sharing their accomplishments with one of her many dear friends.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving others and truly enjoyed her time as a compassionate service leader and a visiting teacher in the Richfield 1st Ward.  She always looked forward to general conference and loved to read the church magazines.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 69 years, Wayland; children: Craig Crane, Overton, NV; Laurie (Paul) Anderson, Mesquite, NV; Kimberly (Michael) Hanson, Bountiful, UT; sister Anne (Chris) Christensen, Sacramento, CA; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Renee (Wayne) Jensen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
