Patricia Christiansen Busk, 79, of Central Valley, passed away November 23, 2013, Richfield. She was born July 3, 1934, in Central Valley, Utah, the daughter of Heber and Montez Ogden Christiansen. She was the loving wife of John Nielsen Busk for 54 years. They were married January 24, 1959 in the Manti LDS Temple. Moments after a family blessing of release, Pat slipped away into the arms of a loving Savior.

Although Pat suffered with and eventually died from Alzheimer’s, it never robbed her of her warmth, smile or laughter. She is survived by her husband, John; and three children: David (Heidi) Busk, Bountiful; Julie (Steve) Pfister; Alexandria, VA; and Jennifer (Darin) Worden, Elsinore. She was adored and admired by her eight grandchildren: Steven Pfister, Paul Busk, Sarah Busk, John Pfister, Jessica Worden Anderson, Kirsten Pfister, Jane Busk and Nash Worden; brother, Richard (Marcia) Christiansen; sister, Margie Gardner; sisters-in-law, Gerri Christiansen and Aida Christiansen

Pat was proud of her pioneer heritage and dearly loved her family. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in various callings and formed many lasting relationship in the ward she attended. Pat graduated from BYU nursing school in 1957 and worked as a registered nurse in Logan, McKay-Dee Hospital and then spent the majority of her career as a surgical nurse and Surgical Team Leader at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake.

Pat loved her work and developed many deep and enduring friendships with her colleagues. She was a tremendous example of commitment, hard work and knowledge. Her passion for her work never diminished nor did her compassion for the patients she cared for. She was a mentor and cherished friend to all those she worked with.

Pat loved life and laughed and giggled throughout the horrendous battle she fought with Alzheimer’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Hal and William Christiansen; brother-in-law, Bill Gardner.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Central Ward Chapel where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery.
