Patric Creamer, 74, of Cedar City, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 20, 2023 in Rural Piute County, after time spent at his cabin on Monroe Mountain with his brother Steve.
He was born in Richfield to Richard and Ruth Anderton Creamer on June 1, 1948. He grew up in Monroe. His first love was music and as a teenager Pat and his first band would play for hours most nights at the home he grew up in.  He played the bass guitar and was lead and backup vocalist in various bands that would delight audiences for years at county fairs and live music spots like the Casablanca in Mesquite and the Buckskin in Fredonia.
A graduate of Southern Utah University, he founded Creamer Insurance in 1972 and his reputation for integrity and personal service made the business a trusted partner for the community.  His son Kade joined the business in 2002 and together they have managed the health care insurance needs of So. Utah companies and individuals like they would their own family.  Most recently Pat was mentoring his grandson Karson as a third-generation member of Creamer Insurance.
Pat was the embodiment of a good neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand and going out of his way to say hello to friends and community members.  His ability to recall names and family histories was uncanny, and you could not walk a street or visit a restaurant in So. Utah without him running into somebody calling out his name for a quick hello and chat.  His belly laugh was unmistakable and could be heard from blocks away.
He married Helen Houston on September 5, 2010 in Mesquite, NV. He and Helen were always on the go or hosting friends and family at their home in Mesquite.  They loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, and tell stories.  Pat’s memory of detail and funny sense of humor made him a master storyteller. And nothing made him light-up more than talking about his children and grandchildren.
Pat is survived by his wife Helen; son, Kade (Heidi); daughters: Francie (Bill) and Savannah (Rory); stepdaughter, Shannon (Ryan); 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Steve (Jeannine) and Matthew (Pam).
He leaves behind countless friends, a grateful and loving family, and the spirit of a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the City of Monroe to “pave the damn roads in the cemetery” so we don’t have to clean the mud off our cars every time we visit.
Private family services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 in the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield. Please join the family for graveside services on Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
