Parley Pratt, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather, passed away on September 3, 2017 at Garfield Memorial Care Center in Panguitch, Utah.
Parley was born August 26, 1925 in Escalante, Utah to Philo and Mable Pratt. He married Emma Leda Dutton in 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.
Parley was a sheep herder and then worked for the BLM and Forest Service for many years. He loved to fish, hunt and being in the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Parley is survived by children; Dueane (Sherian) Dutton and Lorene (Jon) Carrigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and children; Jackie Withers, Dannie Pratt and Darla Jane Pratt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Escalante Ward Chapel. Friends may call prior to services at the church from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Escalante Cemetery with Military Honors.
