Owen Kay Reynolds, 85, passed away February 17, 2018 at his home from injuries sustained in a house fire. He was born May 6, 1932 in Holladay, UT to Owen Ford and Vernessa Young Reynolds. He married Linda Marie Eby, April 21, 1977 in Clark County, NV. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple.
Kay served his country well in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He and Linda moved to Sevier County from Holladay so they could enjoy the rural life and continue breeding and raising show horses. He was highly involved with the Utah Arabian Horse Club for over 50 years.
Before moving to Sevier County, Kay worked with the phone company in northern Utah as a utility repairman. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He enjoyed restoring old cars...a favorite is his old 64 T-Bird.
Kay is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Robert “Robbie” Kay (Nancy) Reynolds and their children; siblings: Anne Bonham, Barbara Bryant, Janet Welsh, Robert Newel (Alene) Reynolds -Kay’s best friend as well as brother; “best guardian angels” nephews: Craig and Brent Bonham; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation services have taken place. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Venice Ward Church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, where family and friends are invited to come and share a favorite memory of Kay. Interment will follow in the Venice Cemetery with military honors by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 and the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard.
