Our kind loving mother, grandmother and friend, Olive Lewis Sudweeks, 98, of Kingston, passed away October 21, 2012 in Panguitch. She was born April 23, 1914 in Circleville to Alice Thomas and Benjamin Lewis, Sr. She married Alton D. Sudweeks, December 25, 1932 in Richfield. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple in 1948. He preceded her in death December 19, 1991.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities including ordinance workers with her husband in the St. George Temple.
She was the Home Extension Agent for Piute County for 10 years, was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being a farmer’s wife. Olive will be remembered for her kind, outgoing way - always having a smile on her face and was glad to see everyone she met.
She is survived by her children: Earl Max (Dorene) Sudweeks of Layton, Alton Lewis Sudweeks of Circleville, Moneice (H. Robert) Stocker of Logan and Evan D. Sudweeks of Kingston. She is also survived by 17 grand and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; daughter, Jetta Broshears; 2 infant grandsons; brothers and sisters, Grover Lewis, Benjamin Lewis Jr., Thomas Lewis, Eliza Alger, Henrietta Barney, Celia Grisby, Tarlton "Dick" Lewis and Earl Lewis.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the Circleville 2 nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. with burial in the Kingston Cemetery.
