Ruth Cook
Lake Point/Sandy, Utah

Our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Olga Ruth Seibold Cook, 93, passed away January 15, 2015 in Sandy, Utah. Mom was born January 31, 1921 in Newdale, Idaho, to immigrant parents, Fredrick and Frieda Susanna Wettstein Seibold. She married Oliver Curtis Cook, March 22, 1945, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death February 22, 2003.
Mom will be remembered for her cheerful, outgoing and sweet nature. She learned how to work hard in her father’s store and never slowed down. She raised seven stalwart sons and one sweet daughter. She taught them all the value of work. She accepted and loved their spouses and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully served in each calling she had. She taught us to love the Gospel. She and Dad served in the New York Rochester Mission. We know she has a strong testimony and looked forward to moving on to her next adventure.
Mom is survived by her children: Steven (Linda) Cook, Dale (CarolBeth) Cook, Pamela (Douglas) Logsdon, Boyd (Denise) Cook, Russell (Ellen) Cook, Dean (Kristin) Cook, Rex (Tammy) Cook, Cory (Becky) Cook; step-son, Lee Stone; 34 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren; sister: Jeanette Hale; sister-in-law, Evelyn Cook.
