Nona Joann Anderson, 84, passed away June 14, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Elsinore. She was born May 14, 1935 in Brooklyn, Utah to Afton Frank and Catherine Ann Winn Anderson. She married Norden Vance Allen May 29, 1954 in Elsinore, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death August 24, 1990.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had many callings. She enjoyed being in the nursery most of all. She served in compassionate service for many years. She worked as a school lunch lady for over 20 years at Richfield High School. She enjoyed baking, sewing, embroidery and quilting. She also enjoyed riding around the farm with her husband, Vance.
Family was her focus. Her life was her grand and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Dallas Vance (Kathy) Allen, West Valley; Cindy Ann (Kevin) Moore, Sharon Kay (Tim) McIntosh and Trent Afton (Gaylie) Allen, all of Elsinore; son-in-law, Sam Alvey Sr., Escalante; 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; brother, Stanley (Shauna) Anderson.
Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shelly Jo Alvey; twin granddaughters, Kassin & Elsie Alvey; sister, Utahna (Rulon) Stucki.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elsinore Ward Chapel. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary and Tuesday morning at the ward chapel in Elsinore from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery.
