Nola Ellis Christiansen Green died August 13, 2017 at the age of 94 in Centerfield. Nola was born on January 17, 1923 in Mayfield, Utah to Albert Julius Christiansen and Ellis Irene Baxter.

Nola helped her mother at home. Her father was a rancher and a farmer and she also loved to work with her father. She remembered riding the horses to help stack the hay, gathering eggs and churning butter. When she was 19, her mother died and Nola became the mother of the family. She had 3 brothers: Vearl, Ernell and Bert, and 1 sister, Geneal. Nola cooked, cleaned and helped as much as she could on the farm.

She met Ray Green of Ephraim in 1946 when he came to Mayfield on a double date with Max Jorgensen who ended up marrying her sister, Geneal. After dating for awhile they were married in December of 1951. A son, Glen Ray soon joined the family. When Glen was 18 months old, Nola contracted polio. Only through the determined efforts of her husband and her mother-in-law, Mary C. Green, exercising her muscles every day, Nola was able to walk again, but the polio left her with a weakened left arm and a weakened left leg. Even with those disabilities, Nola was able to lead a full and productive life. in the next few years, two daughters joined the family: Carol Ann and Jane.

Nola was a loving and kind care giver to several youngsters. Most of them still remember her with fondness for the fun she was. She taught the Sunbeam class in Primary for 30 plus years.

Nola was a talented seamstress. She made her own dresses and was known for her beautiful quilts and her woven rugs. She was very frugal and learned how to use everything and not to waste anything.

She is survived by her son, Glen (Terrie) Green, Ephraim; daughters: Carol Ann Green, Ephraim; and Jane (William) Perry, Olympia, WA; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Geneal M. Jorgensen, Ephraim.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Ephraim Stake Center, 400 East Center, where friends may call from 10:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery.
