Naomi Lavon Peterson, 84, of Salina, passed away March 4, 2012 in Henderson, Nevada. She was born April 15, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Martin Jr. and Sarah Ann Dyches Johnson. She married Levi Deon Peterson, January 9, 1953 in Murray. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Naomi served in Primary and Relief Society as well as many other callings in the LDS Church. She loved to give service to others, enjoyed family history, and most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Tom(Alice) Crowther, West Valley City; Debbie (David) Beighley, Price; Ronnie Peterson, Salina; Patsy Barton, Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one expected in May; eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Larsen; great-grandson, Jeremy Madrid; a baby sister; brothers, Dee Johnson, Leon Johnson, and Tommy Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North. Friends may call at the stake center Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery.
