On January 1, 2016, our beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Nancie Godley Staples, left this earth in Richfield. Nancie lived a life that served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Nancie was one of two daughters born to Robert and Rosalie Godley, of Bakersfield, CA. She married Leland Freeborn on November 29, 1962 and together they had 11 children. She later married Bradley Staples on September 25, 1988, and gained the blessing of 4 more children. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bradley Staples; and their many children; Scott (Suzy) Freeborn, Shawna (Doyle) Adams, Ty (Tess) Freeborn, Lanae (Gary) York, Daken Freeborn, Anne (Jeff) Fillmore, Wess (April) Freeborn, Troy (Madi) Leyba, Camisha Godley (Shawn) Reed, Toni (Billy) Hawley, Jacob Godley (Karly) Freeborn, Madeline (Eddie) Lee, Janessa Godley (Matt) Langston, Annie (Eric) Chidester; and her beloved sister, Janet Poteet. Nancie was blessed with 32 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; her youngest son Jordan Godley Freeborn; and her granddaughter, Faith April Freeborn.
