Morris “Moe” Frantz
Monroe, Utah
Morris “Moe” T. Frantz, 85, passed away at his home in Monroe on January 31, 2021. He was born on June 3, 1935 in Kamas, Utah to Lawrence Theodore and Elsie Gines Frantz. He married Geraldine Murphy. They later divorced.
Dad was an exceptional auto mechanic, and owned a brake and alignment business for some time. He was very inventive, ingenious, inquisitive, and frugal. Dad had an infectious and unique laugh and whether you heard or knew what he was laughing at, you were laughing because he was. He was stern and matter-of-fact, but when you could get a glimpse of his heart and soul, he was loving, and would express that he only wanted the best for you.
Dad was always trying to teach us values from his generation. Your endeavors to help us learn those values, and the things you taught us unknowingly, will be considered our “priceless gems”. Dad’s very keen mind, unending wit, and satirical humor will be missed. We are grateful for the time we were allowed to spend with him. May you rest in peace now Dad.
Moe is survived by his daughters: Denise (Grant) Fowkes, Sevier; and Dorene (Kasey) Elison, Riverton; son, David Murphy, Layton; 12 grandchildren 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diana Olson; son, Dan Frantz; grandsons: Brad Frantz and Dallas Olson; great-granddaughter, Teresa Glenn Frantz; sisters: Mona Lemon, Wilma Vawdry, Rowene Van Tassall; brothers: Norman “Bud” Frantz, Reed Frantz.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Intermountain Home Health and Hospice for their care.
Dad’s wish was to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation services held at the Magleby Mortuary Crematory. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
