Michael Eugene "Mike" Tidlund, 58, passed away at his home in Redmond on March 9, 2016 after a couragous battle with cancer.

He was born June 7, 1957 in Ely, Nevada, the son of Eugene and DeAnne Tidlund and the late Sharron and Deloy Prisbrey. He married Karen Sorensen, October 30, 1987 in Salina, Utah.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed camping and being in the mountains. He was considered one of the best shed hunters around. He loved life, his family, a home cooked meal, his dogs and was a great friend to many. He was a heavy equipment operator with Western Clay.

His survivors include his loving wife of 29 years; parents; children, Carrie (Pat) Curtis, Richfield; Corbin (Natalie) Crane, Saratoga Springs; Chad (Kendra) Crane, Salina; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lonnie (Kristen) Tidlund, Salina; Greg (Che’rie) Westbrook, Lehi; Natalie (Shane) Barrow, Salina; Bryan (Tiffany) Tidlund, Manti; sister-in-law, Sherri Westbrook, Salina; many loving nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by his brother Gary Westbrook, and an infant sister.

The family extends their appreciation to Western Clay, Dr. Dave Watkins, At Home Care, Kristin Gurney and Crissy Williams, for the loving care given to Mike during this trying time.

Graveside services will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Redmond Cemetery. An open house at the family home to celebrate Mike’s life will follow.
