Micah Magleby
Herriman, Utah
The veil was parted on Sunday, October 12, 2014, in Murray, Utah, when Micah John Magleby, 36, was welcomed home to his heavenly parents and eternal family. While in this frail existence he fought his illness with great courage, and did not let it define him.
Micah was born November 19, 1977 in San Jose, Costa Rica, the son of Dale B. and Pamela Staples Magleby. On May 19, 2001 he married the love of his life, Tonya Jean Kump in Salt Lake Temple. They are blessed with four adorable boys who are his greatest joy. Aiden, Mason, Macoy and Remington are, and will remain, daddy's little boys and are the apple of Micah's eye. The veil is thin for those who cross over while their children are small and surely he is not released from protecting and watching over them until they meet again. They helped him carry on in spite of the trials that surrounded them. As a family they relished life together from the smallest milestone to the biggest of life’s events. These are committed to memory and held dear in their hearts. He will be with them in spirit as they journey on. Families are Forever...
He is deeply loved by his parents and siblings, yet their hearts are empty but full with knowledge of eternity and the brighter day. He adored his nieces and nephews as they looked up to him - oh, how they will miss their joyful, joking, lovable Uncle Mick. Also affectionately known as Peak by Uncle Dallin.
A person could not walk away from a visit with Micah without engaging in a lively pleasant conversation while being uplifted with his optimistic spirit, sparkly engaging eyes and smile. He was a good friend to anyone from complete strangers to life-long acquaintances. Anyone was comfortable in his presence.
Those who knew him could quickly gain confidence in his competence of his ability to trouble shoot through any obstacle that came his way. His work ethic to complete the tasks at hand was admired and appreciated by his associates and those who worked under him. Many would say, "go ask Micah, he will know." Micah's love for the fast hot-rod Ford Mustang will live on in his son's hearts as they carry the torch of their father's affinity for the 1965 classic.
Micah completed a mission for the LDS Church to Manchester, New Hampshire. He served at the Joseph Smith Memorial where he gained a great love and appreciation for our prophet of the restoration. He was honored to serve in any and all church capacities that he was called to fill. He carried a testimony of the atonement of his Savior. His knowledge of the plan of salvation and the fact that families can be together forever gave him great peace.
Survived by his sweetheart, Tonya; sons, Aiden, Mason, Macoy, Remington; parents; siblings: Heidi (Monty) Olsen, Todd (Krista), Cory (Tiffany), Jared (Stephanie), Erika (Josh) Thorne; mother-in-law, Nancy Crump Kump; brother-in-law, Eric (Paulette) Kump; also adored by 15 nephews, 9 nieces.
