Our beloved mother, Mabel Mercy Crompton Wagner, 88, of Monroe, Utah and formerly of Chino Valley, Arizona, passed away June 4, 2012, in Monroe. She was born June 21, 1923, in Philadelphia, PA, to David and Mabel West Crompton. She married Frederick Wm. “Bill” Wagner, Jr., in Philadelphia, PA, on October 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1995.
Mercy was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Chino Valley. She was a business professional working for several different businesses throughout her career. She also volunteered at the Yavapai Regional Hospital in Prescott.
She is survived by her children, David (Patricia) Wagner, Monroe, UT; Mary (James) Ettinger, Oatman, AZ; Michael (Rebecca) Wagner, Chino Valley; and John (Debra) Wagner, Hinckley, UT; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; daughter-in-law, Leslie Wagner, Chino Valley; sisters-in-law, Peg Crompton and Marion Crompton, both of PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; sons, Fred Wm. “Bill” Wagner III and Timothy Wagner; and siblings, Al Crompton, Russell Crompton and Elsie Crompton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 S. 100 W., in Richfield. Additional services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at 12 Noon in the Hope Lutheran Church, 1010 North Road 1 East, Chino Valley, AZ. Burial will be in the Chino Valley Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
