Melvin Power Savage, 76, passed away November 25, 2014 at his home in Panguitch. He was born May 5, 1938 in Antimony to Alma Jr., and Ethel Adell Thompson Savage. He married Mona Jean Marshall on February 7, 1966 in Ely, Nevada.

Melvin’s mother died when he was born. He was raised by his father’s sisters, Elsie and Jessie Savage. Being raised on the farm he learned how to be a hard worker. He served two years in the Army and worked for Kaibab.

Melvin is survived by his wife; sons: LaMont M. Savage and Robert M. Savage, both of Panguitch; siblings: Carol N. Savage, St. George; Kathleen Snow, South Jordan; Fern Nelson, Provo; Dawna (Pete) Perry, Federal Way, WA.

Preceded in death by parents; sons: Wallace Power Savage, William Alma "Bill" Savage; brother, Homer Savage.

Graveside services will be held on Friday November 28, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Panguitch Cemetery. with military rites by the Panguitch American Legion Post #25 and Utah Honor Guard. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti .
