Max Emil Swindle, 84, passed away at his home in Santaquin on September 2, 2016. He was born January 13, 1932 in Monroe to Charles Emil and Hazel Robinson Swindle. He married Cleva McInelly on June 27, 1956 in Mesquite, NV. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple. She preceded him in death on December 12, 2014 after 57 years together.

Max served in the Korean War in the belly of a Navy air craft carrier. He was a government surveyor and dairyman until he retired. Max loved being around his grandchildren, watching them grow up. You could always find him at one of their baseball or football games cheering them on.

Max is survived by his children: Erwin Moosman, Escalante; Wade Moosman, Levan; Robert (Rita) Swindle, Victorville, CA; and Wendy (Lance)Tanner, Santaquin; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Fuelner, and Yvonne Bastian.

He is also preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Max Swindle; daughter, Ellen Kraus; siblings: Maurine Davis, Emil Swindle, John Swindle, Rae Hodson, LaVee Ogden, Keith Swindle.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Payson 16th Ward Chapel, 650 West 800 South, Payson, UT. Friends may call prior to services at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Monroe Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with military rites.
