Mavis Smith, 91, passed away on March 24, 2020 in the Monroe Canyon Assisted Living Facility where she received outstanding loving care. She was born February 25, 1929 in Kanab, UT. She married Wayne Brinkerhoff on November 27, 1946 in Tooele, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized for time and all eternity. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1984. She later married Euhlan Smith on April 26, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV, he preceded her in death on June, 1, 2017.

Mavis was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various positions, including Seminary teacher, Relief Society president, and spent many hours researching family history. She served two separate missions, one to the Philippines Bagio Mission and one to the Russia Novosibirsk Mission. She was a big fan of the Utah Jazz and seldom missed a game and a strawberry shake from McDonalds. She enjoyed quilting and over the years has made hundreds of beautiful quilts. She loved to travel and the outdoors especially fishing. She was able to enjoy many fun trips with family and friends.

She is survived by: children: Kathy (Cordell) Pearson, Circleville, UT, Terry (Susan) Brinkerhoff, Las Vegas, NV, Paul (Cindy) Brinkerhoff, Las Vegas, NV; 11 grandchildren; 20 great children; one great great grandson; sisters: Loretta Corpe and Sharon St. Clair. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Irene Christensen; siblings: Edna Sampson, Betty Gutierrez, Freya Johnson, Janice Knab, Kay Christensen and great grandson, Harmon Atkin.
