Maureen Dessa Phillips Thorpe, 71, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Maureen was born on April 2, 1941 in Denver, CO to Wendell and Myrtle Phillips.
Maureen was active in the LDS Church where she served in the Cub Scouting organization and Relief Society. She enjoyed doing many different crafts.
Maureen is survived by her children: Bruce (Misty) Thorpe, Boise, ID; Brian (Christina) Thorpe, Elko, NV; and Brice Thorpe, Glenwood, UT. She is also survived by five grandchildren; siblings: Yvonne and Jim. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; children: Karen Seyersdahl and Gary Thorpe.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the Glenwood Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 S 100 W, in Richfield and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m at the ward chapel in Glenwood. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
