Mathew Kesler
Richfield, Utah
Mathew William Kesler, 42, was welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on July 31, 2015, in Provo from complications of an aortic aneurysm. He fought for two weeks to remain in this earthly life with his children. They were his whole world and he loved them enough to be their Guardian Angel forever.
Matt was born on June 26, 1973 in Richfield. He is the son of Myrna Christensen and Richard Kesler, of Richfield. He is the brother to Stephanie (Kurt) Bayles, Todd Kesler, Steven Kesler, Patrick Kesler. Later in life his siblings doubled in number, adding Andrea Smith, Marcus Lee, Kenny Lee (deceased), Ed Lee, Sterling Lee.
Matt grew up in Richfield until he was 14 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Moving from a small town to the big city presented lots of life experiences and he made many life-long friends there.
Matt married Sophia Vincent in Las Vegas, June of 2004. Together, with her daughter, Skye, they welcomed Alexander Matthew, and Kira Elyse. Later divorced. After Matt’s return to Richfield, he realized his testimony and a desire to ensure a forever family.
Matt recognized his talents in helping people and being a salesman when he worked in the cardiac cath lab, and later for St. Jude Medical. He returned back to Sevier Valley where everyone knew his smile at Ace Hardware. He was just starting in a new business, Heritage Ammunition, with his best friend, Mike Lowry.
He loved fishing, camping, hunting with his kids, usually taking nieces, nephews, and neighbor kids along, too. He is a dedicated father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
"Good-bye until the next visit."
