Our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grand, great-grand, great-great-grandmother and sister, Mathel Sorenson Mickelsen, age 90, was called home by our Heavenly Father to be reunited with Que, her husband, Norma, her daughter, and other loved ones, on March 14, 2014, in Gunnison, Utah. She was born March 13, 1924 in Axtell, to Truman LeNoir and Ane RoLinda "Lindy" Jensen Sorenson. She married Que Mickelsen, November 4, 1941 in Richfield, the marriage was solemnized March 2, 1957 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death June 20, 2008.
Mathel is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held various positions. She enjoyed working at Christensen’s Dept. Store in Salina and also in the Sevier School Lunch program, but most of all, she enjoyed her family.
She is survived by: daughter, Ellen (Ronald) Bosshardt; sons: Glen (Linda) Mickelsen, Myron (Joy) Mickelsen, all of Redmond; son-in-law, Larry Streadbeck of Kaysville; 21 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren; siblings, Elwood (Julia) Sorenson and Leland (Donna Vee) Sorenson, both of Axtell
She is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Norma Streadbeck; siblings: LeNoir Sorenson, Carlyle Sorenson; Elaine Christenson and Marjorie Jensen; great-granddaughter, Jersey Lyn Mickelsen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 12:00 Noon, in the Redmond 2nd Ward , 310 West 100 North, where friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. or on Wednesday from10:30 a. m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Redmond Town Cemetery.
