Mary Elaine Foreman Allan, 75, of Monroe, peacefully passed away April 29, 2014 at home. She was born December 15, 1938 in Austin, Utah to M. Dewey and Dorothy Wilkinson Foreman, She married her true love, Glen Arnold Allan, July 11 1958 in the Manti Temple.

Elaine was known as a woman of many talents, loved her family, gardening, camping, fishing, traveling, square dancing and being outdoors.

An avid quilter, Elaine designed her own quilt patterns and made quilts for each child and grandchild. She also made baby quilts for all of the babies, giving away many to care centers. She enjoyed teaching. She was willing to share her knowledge of fishing, sewing and gardening to anyone who needed help.

Elaine was active in the LDS Church serving as a visiting teacher, Relief Society president, Cub Scout leader, librarian and Primary teacher. She spent 15 years doing indexing for the Family History Library, and authored a book about the history of Austin. She kept pictures and histories for all her family.

Elaine and Glen were blessed with five sons: Ricky Glen, deceased; Kenneth Dean (Janna), Vancouver Washington; Anthony Martin (Ila), South Jordan; Daniel Warren (Joy),West Jordan; and Stanley Dale (Tabitha), Salina, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She also survived by her husband; sisters: Jennell (Dee) Broadhead, Susanne (Albert ) Sevy, Laura (Joe) Wilkinson, Nelda (Jim) Beddes; brothers: Paul (Mary) Foreman, Claude (Margie) Foreman; brothers-in-law: Douglas (Brenda) Allan, Dean (Norma) Allan; sister-in-law, Margie Staheli.

Preceded in death by: parents; son, Ricky Glen; sister Shirley (Lenace) Burnside; brother-in-law, Clarence B. Staheli; sister- in- law, DeEsta Ann Allan.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Valley 2 ^nd LDS Ward Chapel where friends may call from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m..
