Mary Perkins

Mary Judd Perkins, 95, passed away March 1, 2014 in Pangutich. She was born September 1, 1918 in Panguitch to Harry and Ida Hazel Hatch Judd. She married Ted LeRoy Perkins October 1, 1939 in Panguitch. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1983.
Mary loved to help others. Her home made bread was spread throughout Spry. Her peanut butter fudge was enjoyed by the state road crew who always made sure Mary had a clear drive way in the winter months. She enjoyed being a Relief Society visiting teacher.
Mary was the postmaster in the Spry Post Office for many years. She worked for Vic Orton for many years in his café. And also worked in many motel’s around Panguitch, the last being with John and Diane Houston.
She is survived by her children: Dawna Rae (Larry) Barney, Panguitch; and Ronald Ted (Rosielea) Perkins, West Valley City; 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Curtis Riggs, Salt Lake City; and Nellie Warren, Denver, CO.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Debra Barney; brothers: Don Judd and Cecil Judd; sister, Julie Laird; and a niece.
Graveside services and interment will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Panguitch Cemetery. Friends may call at the Panguitch 2nd Ward Chapel, 200 North 400 East, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
