Mary Bell Norris

Mary Bell Mortenson Norris, 74, passed away at home on September 5, 2015. She was born September 12, 1940 in Ephraim to Valton and May Olpin Mortenson. She married Nyle B Norris, September 4, 1964 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death August 12, 2004.

She was an active member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in many capacities, including missionary to Arizona and Southern California, an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple, and various ward and stake callings.

She was an avid quilter and collector. Education was a very important part of her life, in addition to her husband, all of her children are also teachers. She enjoyed gardening and being outside in her flower gardens. But most important to her was spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Troy Nyle (Ann Marie Jensen) Norris of Panguitch, Cindy Lynn (Brett) Gurney of Saratoga Springs, Brandon Loy (Jennifer Barney) Norris of Ephraim, Lance M. (Sharon Gurr) Norris of Annabella; 16 grandchildren; siblings, Pete (Karma) Mortenson of West Jordan, Meriam (Albert) Kienke of Salt Lake City, sister-in-law, Coreyne Mortenson of Vernal.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Val (Myrna) Mortenson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Valley 2 ^nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Wednesday from 6 to 8 or on Thursday at the ward chapel in Central Valley from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery
