SALINA — Marilynne "Byrd" Alvey Card, age 56, was born Sept. 7, 1957, in Murray, to Maxine Schow Alvey and Gayle L Alvey.
She married James Russell Card Oct. 31, 1987, in Salina.
Marilynne passed away Dec. 30, 2013, in Salina.
She had a zest for life with a youthful personality. Marilynne touched everyone she met with her big smile and love for making others happy. Her outward personality brought laughter to the room. The only thing that gave her more joy then friends and family was being a Grandmother.
Marilynne was truly a card — the Joker.
Proceeded in death by mother, Maxine Schow Alvey; father, Gayle L Alvey; brother, Douglas Alvey; and nephew, Chris Searcy.
Survived by husband, James Russell Card, West Valley City; son, Alex James Card, Salina; daughter, Erin Oma (Zane Hansen) Card-Hansen, Gunnison; granddaughter, Maxine Elizabeth Hansen; brother, Bruce (Sharon) Alvey, Oregon; brother, Robert (Glena) Alvey, Oregon; sister, Annie (Ted) Searcy, West Valley City; sister, Pauline (Robert) Dickinson, Sandy; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at noon, at the Salina LDS stake center. Viewing to be held Sunday, Jan. 5, at the stake center from 6 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marilynne Card’s name at Zions Bank.
