Marie Spencer Loosle, 86, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Salt Lake City. She was born on September 22, 1928 in Escalante, Utah to John Clyde and Lillie Alvey Spencer. Marie attended LDS Business College and Utah State University where she met the love of her life, Douglas William Loosle. They were married and sealed for time and all eternity on March 15, 1950 in the Logan Temple. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2012.

Marie lived her life following the example of her Savior, Jesus Christ and blessed everyone around her with Christ-like love. She was devoted to the gospel, and cherished her husband and family above all else. She found joy in her lifelong activity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she and Doug served an LDS mission in Guatemala after she retired from the United States Forest Service.

She is survived by her children: Shauna Marie (Jeff) Pinegar, Barry Douglas (Ronda), Jeffrey William (Sherry) and Tonya Le (Courtney) Gleave; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Porter; brothers: Jim Spencer and JC Spencer.

Also preceded in death by parents; great-granddaughter, Makayla Loosle; sisters: LaFaye Bailey, Bonnie Spencer and Venice Taylor.

The family expresses gratitude to the St. Marks ICU nurses and doctors and the staff at Coventry Independent Living.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West Richfield, Utah 84701, where friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
