Margie Hazel Dennison Despain, 79, passed away at her home in Axtell, UT on April 27, 2016, with her loving family surrounding her.
She was born July 27, 1936 in Mayfield, UT to Clarence William and Hazel Hansen Dennison. She married Darrell Lorus Despain, September 25, 1953 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2014.
Margie was an active member of The Daughter’s of the Utah Pioneers and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she enjoyed her involvement in Relief Society. She loved going out with her golden girl friends.
She is survived by children: Valarie (Burke) Black, Centerfield; Sherrie Memmott, Aurora; Kim (Carma) Despain, Henderson, NV; Kent (Mary) Despain, Centerfield; Clayton (Vickie) Despain, Gunnison; 20 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nyla (Larry) Wachter, Saratoga Springs; sister-in-law, Velva Dennison, Sandy. Also preceding her in death are her parents; brothers: Myron Dennison and Deon Dennison; grandson, Jared Despain.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Axtell LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. or on Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary: Richfield, Salina and Manti.
