Marcia Luann Insko Sallee passed away peacefully on May 11, 2019 in Monroe. Born in Boston, MA on July 1, 1942 she was the oldest of seven children born to Chaplain Myron C. and Alice Insko. She lived in numerous states and countries including Attu, Alaska and American Samoa due to her father being in the Navy. Marcia graduated from Barstow High School and attended San Diego State before marrying Charles Edward “Eddie” Sallee. They settled in Barstow, CA where she was a civilian employee for Barstow Marine Corps base.
Marcia always had a bright smile on her face, and a positive outlook on life. She loved spending her time reading, gardening, canning fruit and vegetables, crocheting, family beach camping, off road racing, and riding her motorcycle.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eddie Sallee; son, Brian (Evette) Sallee and grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, and Travis Sallee; daughter, Brenda (Doug) Fuchs and granddaughters Brooke, Aubrey, Ellie, and Faith Fuchs; siblings: Allan Insko, Susan Insko Holtan, Eric Insko, and numerous extended family members who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chaplain & Mrs. Myron C. Insko USN RET; brothers: Myron Dean Insko and Richard Insko; and sister, Nancy Insko Poe.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Sallee home: 219 W 100 S, Monroe, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please plant a rose bush, Marcia’s favorite flower, in her honor.
Cremation services were previously held. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
